Popular Yoruba movie actress Mercy Aigbe set the internet abuzz on Sunday when she revealed her new man, Kazim Adeoti.
In an Instagram post made to celebrate his birthday, Mercy also used the opportunity to reveal that Kazim was her husband. She captioned the post “Finally I said Yes to ‘D’ Owner Thank you, God, of many chances.” The post quickly went viral attracting many negative and positive comments.
It is the first time that Mercy is publicly flaunting a man since her 2017 divorce from Lanre Gentry to whom she was married for about 7 years.
Her marriage to Lanre Gentry was tumultuous for the most part as the actress allegedly suffered domestic violence at the hands of Gentry, on the other hand, Gentry also accused Mercy of infidelity.
Despite negative comments flooding her social media, Mercy Aigbe continued to post photos of herself and her new man, referring to herself as “Agbeke aya di owner,” she fondly calls her new husband “D owner.”
Mercy revealed that she got married to Kazim Adeoti in December 2021 and the pair decided to keep things quiet. Gentry, on the other hand, was loud with his post-divorce wedding which took place in September 2021.
Despite her divorce from Lanre Gentry, the former couple often engage in brawls on social media.
Mercy Aigbe’s new husband Kazim Adeoti, though without a popular name is a very influential figure in the Yoruba movies industry. He is the founder of Adekaz Productions which has produced a number of Yoruba films wherein, Mercy always plays the lead character. He is also the owner of the online movie streaming service, IbakaTV. Some of his recent films include Donna’ (2021), Raboni (2021), and ‘Traffic’ (2020), and Ayomi (2018).

Like Mercy, Adeoti has previously been married. He was previously married to Funsho and together they had four children. While it is the film producer’s second marriage, it is Mercy’s third time exchanging marital vows.
According to Premium Times, Mercy and Kazim who is a muslin on New Year’s eve of 2021 had a Nikkai in Lagos where Mercy was given the name Aminah.
